Privacy policy

This policy covers svgflow.net. It explains what the site does with the files you open, what is stored in your browser, and which third parties receive data when you visit. SVGFlow is an independent, ad-supported project; there is no company, no CRM and no mailing list behind it.

Your files

Files you open are read in your browser and never transmitted. SVGFlow has no upload endpoint, no file storage and no server-side processing — the tools run on FileReader, DOMParser and canvas inside your tab. Closing the tab discards the document. Nothing about a file's contents, name or size is ever included in an analytics event or sent to an advertiser.

Local storage

Two preferences are kept in your browser's local storage: sf.theme for your light/dark choice, and sf.consent.v2 for your answer to the cookie notice. Neither is sent anywhere. Clearing site data removes them.

Advertising

Ads on this site are served by Google AdSense. Specifically:

  • Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit here and to other sites on the internet.
  • Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads and set their own cookies. Google maintains the list of certified vendors it works with.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through Google My Ad Center, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them non-personalised.
  • Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent notice before any non-essential cookie is set, and ads are non-personalised until it is accepted.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 records aggregate page views and a small set of product events — which tool was opened, which export format was used, whether a file failed to parse. IP anonymisation is on. Google Consent Mode v2 defaults every storage category to denied before the tag loads, so nothing is written to your browser until you accept. No cross-site tracking, no user profiles, no fingerprinting. The contents of your SVG are never included in any event.

Your rights

Because the site holds no account and no server-side record, there is no profile of you to export or delete here — everything SVGFlow itself stores is the two local-storage keys above, which you can clear from your browser at any time. Under the GDPR and UK GDPR the lawful basis for non-essential cookies is your consent, which you can withdraw with the Reject button above. Under the CCPA/CPRA, SVGFlow does not sell personal information; the data advertisers receive is governed by Google's policies linked above, and the opt-out links there are the effective controls.

For data held by Google rather than by this site, use your Google Account controls.

Children

SVGFlow is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. No age information is collected, and no account can be created.

Changes to this policy

Changes are published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes to what is collected or who receives it will also reset the consent notice, so the choice is asked again rather than assumed.
